The mini drum my friend bought on the concert of Hands Percussion Team
is really a super waste if u have miss the concert~
element used : mini drum, her old smelly silver shirt, table light, mirror, camera canon IXUS i5, photoshop cs2 to touch up

well sure the drum is cute and it’s so detail as well…
regarding your photoshoot,
i will have to say it is a good start and good effort but there was a lot of mistake that needs to be fix.
firstly would be your lighting , when you wanna use a spotlight as your key light you must really consider about the intensity and the direction. cos from what i notice is that your intensity is too great and there isn;t any fill light for your shadows..what happen here is that your shadow is too dark and thus the contrast is too much which also leads to your higlight part to be over exposed which is not good because you could loose lots of details by it.
although i’ve never done any product shoot but i do have experience in DIY studio shoot like what you’ve done.
what you should do is to get the basic materials up like a reflector(can be white paper,aluminium foil paper,windscreen sun shades) get as much ambient light as possible, says open up all windows or room lights…
place your key light to your camera directions….and get another light(to fill or for acting backlighting)
by this you should have a settings call 3 point lighting) but nontheless if you don;t like the way it lit then you can mofigy about….there are two kinda lighting you can do which is the LOW KEY LIGHTING and HIGH KEY LIGHTING..go do some research about it…~
and it’s very important to fix the shadow and your exposure..

no hard feeling k sail, alan is a bastard, but to be frank he is good in camera and I’ve learn alot via his comment, ask him to draw sumthing den shooot his ass kao kao if you want wahhaha~~let him learn what call drawing also!!!
